Salvation’s Plan
Thank you for checking out our church website. If you feel that the Lord has been dealing with your heart or you would like to know more about the plan of salvation, then please take the next few moments to read this page.
First of all, you should know that we ALL HAVE SINNED. That means everybody from the preacher to the pope to your next door neighbor to you. According to the book of Genesis, sin entered the world with the disobedience of Adam and Eve. Ever since that point, sin has continued in the world and has affected everyone. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” That means we all are sinners.
Secondly, since we know we are sinners and God hates sin, what can we do? Well, here’s the thing; there’s nothing YOU can do to remove your sin to go to heaven. Doing good deeds, paying your tithes, and joining the church just don’t cut it. Being a good person won’t get it done. The Bible tells us in Hebrews that without the shedding of blood, there can be no forgiveness of sin. So the blood of a sacrifice is the only thing that can take care of sin. In the Old Testament of the Bible, this shedding of blood for sin was accomplished thru the sacrifice of animals every year. However, the problem with animal sacrifice is that it is only a temporary solution to a permanent problem. So, what can we do?
That’s where Jesus comes in. He became the ultimate, PERMANENT sacrifice for sin. John 3:16-17 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” Jesus is the ONLY answer to the problem of sin. He sacrificed Himself to pay for all your sin debt because JESUS REALLY LOVES YOU.
Finally, now that we realize we are sinners and that Jesus died and rose again to save us, what do we do to accept Christ’s salvation. Well, here the good part; salvation is FREE and all we have to do is ask. It’s that simple. Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
The decision is now up to you. If you’ve never accepted the Lord as your personal Savior and want to, then please feel free to use the following prayer as a guide to asking the Lord to save you. Just know that it’s not this prayer that saves you, but the belief you have in your heart about Jesus.
“Dear Jesus…..I know that I’m a sinner….. I believe that you were born of a virgin….. lived a perfect life…..died for my sins…..and arose from the grave on the third day…..I give my life to you…..please help me to serve you…..with all that is within me…..thank you Jesus……for saving me…..in Jesus name…..Amen.”
If you have prayed this prayer with your heart, then first of all let us say congratulations and welcome to the family of God. This is the best decision you will ever make. We also want you to know that we will be praying for you as you continue to grow in Christ. We encourage you to now go and tell someone about your decision to follow Jesus.
